The Movement · River North, Chicago
Each format is thoughtfully structured to build strength, cultivate awareness, and invite transformation, physically, mentally, and energetically. One breath, one moment, one practice at a time.
Our yoga classes are breath-led, intentionally sequenced, and designed to build strength, mobility, and presence. We offer three distinct styles so you can find the flow that meets you where you are.
Vinyasa Flow. A steady, all-levels vinyasa that links breath to movement in a continuous, rhythmic flow. Expect creative sequencing that builds heat, strength, and body awareness while keeping you fully present in the practice. Grounded in yoga’s tradition, the Yoga 2.0 approach brings a more dynamic, fluid, and subtly edgy energy, creating a practice that feels both challenging and attainable.
Vinyasa Flow 2.0. This is our signature Vinyasa Flow and Kacey’s signature class. Intentionally challenging, with continuous, creative sequencing and seamless transitions designed to keep you moving, fully immersed, and always curious. Equal parts challenging and playful, this practice invites you to explore what’s possible, meet your edge, and soften around it. With more flow, expect a dynamic, musically aligned experience set to strong, intentional beats that builds heat, endurance, and deep focus. Guided by the Seven Doorways methodology, a world-renowned teaching framework rooted in the seven doorways, you’ll move through intelligently layered sequences that feel both purposeful and creative. Rooted in yoga’s ancient philosophy and traditions, and expressed through the bold, fluid lens of Yoga 2.0, this class is an opportunity to cultivate equanimity in effort, in ease, and everything in between.
Level 2, though all are welcome. Modifications and progressions are offered throughout, allowing you to challenge yourself while honoring exactly where you are.
Vinyasa Yin. Ease into your week with a slow, intentional vinyasa rooted in Ashtanga-inspired movement. We’ll gently build heat, connect breath to body, and move through a steady flow before settling into deep yin stretches designed to release tension and restore balance. This is your invitation to slow down, drop back into your body, and soften into stillness. Flow, unwind, and surrender. It is the perfect reset for whatever the week ahead may bring.
Many of our classes carry a strong Seven Doorways influence, the methodology from Jonah Kest's Become a Yogi training, and most of our teachers are trained in the Seven Doorways. Please refer to each instructor's description in the schedule to see who teaches the Seven Doorways style.
Heated to 95° to ignite your inner fire. This Pilates-rooted class blends strength, length, and fluidity into sequences that sculpt your core and energize your whole body. Low-impact yet powerful, set to curated beats that carry you through the flow. Leave grounded, sweaty, and renewed.
In this heated, full-body experience, we blend elements of strength training and Pilates-inspired movement to build lean muscle, stability, and control. Using medium weights and body resistance, you’ll move through intentional sequences designed to challenge both power and precision. Expect compound movements, controlled tempos, and a steady, focused burn that builds endurance while keeping you deeply connected to your form and breath. This is your space to move with purpose, refine your strength, and cultivate resilience, leaving you feeling powerful, grounded, and in control.
This heated class (90–95°) offers a movement-first approach to strength, combining functional training with breath-led intention. Through structured strength sequences and intelligent load, you’ll build stability, power, and control while honoring alignment and balance. A grounded, intelligent practice that integrates seamlessly with the full Yoga 2.0 method.
Rooted in the traditional foundations of Ashtanga and reimagined through the creative, dynamic lens of Rocket Yoga, this is a strong, continuous practice built around the connection of one breath to one movement. It is guided by Tristhana, the union of breath, posture, and drishti. The class blends structure with freedom, strength with mobility, and effort with ease.
Expect intelligent sequencing, creative transitions, arm balances, inversions, backbends, and opportunities to explore your edge while building core strength, stability, mobility, and body awareness. While physically challenging, the practice is designed to be exploratory rather than performative, with space to modify, play, and meet your body where it is.
With intentional breath, focused drishti, and engaged bandhas woven throughout, movement becomes meditation, building heat and focus while grounding the mind.
Strong. Fluid. Focused. Equal parts discipline and play. All are welcome, and familiarity with Vinyasa is recommended.
